Nature Education
The Acting Center is extending its committment to environmental programming and to storytelling concerts and workshops dedicated to the natural world. Programs began during 2001 with the Intrepid Science Museum and in 2002 with South Carolina Audubon. These site specific events continue to grow in 2003 with a special focus on "wetlands" and in 2005 to lecture demos on "Natural History Writing" at CUNY.
The 2009 Nature Initiative extends to training and performance projects at Acadia National Park, The Nature Conservancy and CUNY.
The wide selection of interactive formats are designed to provide a sense of the range of venues and topics addressed.
